ARSEN BEREZA
INFORMATIONAL
RETROFLECTION
Primus Gallery, Lviv, Ukraine, 2014
The idea of installation is about the negative influence of media and information to the person.
Information falls on a man through television, advertising, radio, internet, making realy destructive effect on the mind and consciousness and prospects, as well as the behavior in the future.
People saturate themselves informational weight, and often do not have time to "digest" and filter it all.
Light figure shows a person who is trying to protect against unfettered wave of information, choosing only important, valuable and useful.
Dark toned figure is dissected and destroyed by negative information.
It symbolically reflects the society today.
The importance of this issue is particularly evident in the modern world, where an attempt to keep own "microcosm" become increasingly difficult.
